Orlando Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) is located in Orlando, FL, “The City Beautiful.” We welcome you to our site and hope you will take some time to look at the activities our chapter is involved in to honor our ancestors’ contributions to America’s independence. The nickname, “The City Beautiful,” was submitted by Jessica Branch, one of the original Orlando Chapter founders.  A city contest was held in 1908 to select a nickname for the City of Orlando.  Jessie Branch’s entry, “The City Beautiful” won the prize!

Today’s DAR includes women who come from diverse backgrounds with a variety of interests. Not only can they prove their direct lineal descent from patriots of the American Revolution, they also share an interest in promoting historic preservation, education and patriotism within the community.

Please take some time to learn about what the Orlando Chapter and National Society Daughters of the American Revolution has to offer!
